Bio
Gilbert Mirambeau Jr. is a producer, screenwriter and activist. In 2015, he co-founded Muska Films, a production company that covers documentaries, feature films and TV series. He co-wrote and co-produced his first medium-length film, Kafou, which was selected in more than thirty festivals. Kafou won many awards and nominations such as the Grand Jury Prize at FEMI, Best Non-European Dramatic Film at ÉCU, and as finalist, Best Film at Austin Film Festival and Orlando Film Festival. Thanks to Kafou, he was selected among the 25 screenwriters to follow in 2018 by the Movie Maker Magazine. In 2021, he will produce his first feature film : Malatchong, coproduced by Canal+, Promenades Films and Périphéria Inc, and With Naomie, a documentary co-produced by Les Valseurs. Today, Gilbert is focusing on other documentary projects currently in development, a TV series entitled Papa Doc, and a fiction entitled Rue Dorval, scheduled for 2022.
