Bio
Born in Bangui (Central African Republic), Léandre-Alain Baker is an actor, writer and director. He has created and manages – along with writer Emmanuel Dongala, the “Théâtre de l’Éclair” and the Brazzaville Literary Circle with Caya Makhélé. He has written several plays and novels published at L’Harmattan and Lansman publishing house. He worked as an actor for Philippe Adrien, Christian Schiaretti, Peter Brook as well as in several feature films and TV movies.He has written and co-written several scripts for Françoise Ellong, Caroline Pochon, Hubert Laba Ndao, Lanciné Diaby et Zeka Laplaine. Léandre-Alain Baker has also directed 4 short films, 4 documentaries and the feature film RAMATA based on the novel by Abasse Ndione. He is currently developing 2 feature projects : “SANKARA, LA FIN D’UN HOMME INTÈGRE” and “L’IVRESSE DES FORÊTS ».
