Bio
Born in Rwanda, Marie-Clémentine Dusabejambo is a self-taught filmmaker who completed a degree in electronics and telecommunication. Her journey as a filmmaker started in 2008 she joined a group of young filmmakers in her neighborhood before winning the Tribeca Film Institute script competition and directing her first short film, presented in Tribeca in 2011, launching her carrier.
Clementine has worked in the continuity department on Saul William and Anisa Uzeyman’s “NEPTUNE FROST” and as a researcher on Steven Spielberg and Alex Gibney’s documentary series “Why we hate”.
Her short films have been presented in numerous festivals around the world and were awarded prizes at The FESPACO, JCC, in Zanzibar… BENIMANA is her first fiction feature project.
