As a film director and producer, Apolline TRAORÉ focuses on conveying the voices of African women. She writes, directs and produces documentaries, TV series and advertisements, as well as shorts and feature films of fiction. Her works earned many recognitions and prizes in festivals across the world.
In her 20 years of experience, she has produced and directed 6 documentaries, one TV show, 3 TV series, 5 shorts and 5 feature films.
Apolline TRAORÉ is an Emerson College (Boston, MA) film graduate and also studied camera work at the New York Film Academy.
During her carrier, she’s been awarded the following distinctions : Knight of the Burkinabé Order of Merit, Medal for the struggle of women in cinema at the Luxor festival, Ambassador of the National Museum of Burkina Faso.
