Bio

After her studies in English-speaking African literature, Sitou AYITE joined her brother's production company where she worked in all film disciplines. She directed a few short films and co-directed two documentaries on the remains of Togo from the time of German colonization. She was elected treasurer of the African Federation of Film Critics, then was selected by FIPRESCI at the Campus Talent in Berlin in 2009. In 2011, with the feature film she wrote and produced , she won a grant to study production at the European Training Center (Paris). Since 2020, Sitou AYITE has been in the pre-production of the mining documentary feature “TERRE JAUNE”, with the Malian Bouna FOFANA.
