Bio
Salimata TAPILY is a Malian actress and director. Multilingual (German, English, Bambara, Dogon, French). She has a degree in artistic and cultural activities, as well as in English and German, in human resources management at the École Supérieure de Gestion. She also attended training in scriptwriting, directing, and film shooting. She joined the ''Collectif des jeunes talents de l'UCECAO (West African Union of Film and Audiovisual Creators and Entrepreneurs)'', initiated by Soussaba CISSE, daughter of film director Souleymane CISSE. From 2012, she shot several short films and she was chosen in 2016 as co-director of the "C'EST LA VIE" series broadcast on TV5 MONDE. In 2021, she joined Toumani SANGARÉ and Alou DEMEBELÉ as a co-director of "DIMANCHE A BAMAKO", a long series co-produced by Canal+, which plunges us into the story of three women that everything opposes and who end up at the same marabout a few hours before the celebration of their wedding.
