Synopsis

Mabil, 15, has a passion for contemporary dance. To him, dancing is no longer a distraction, it has become a need. Above all, he wishes to dance on the street. While Mabil is eager to organize a dancing show on Tadjiabone, a traditional night during which the young people of the village go around in disguise, singing and dancing, Bintou, his mother, finds her son’s idea shameful. For her, men simply cannot dance. After fruitless efforts to make her believe otherwise, Mabil ends up deciding, with a heavy heart, to go against his mother’s beliefs - even though he is aware that his choice might destroy their relationship.
