Bio

Khady Touré graduated in journalism and communication at the Université de l’Atlantique in Abidjan. She started her career in cinema as an actress : her first role was Nafir in the film « LE FRUIT NON MÛR ». This first experience showed her talent, and bubbly, creative spirit, and the producers of the film had her come back for her second role in Ivorian-Nigerian film « AUJOURD’HUI, DEMAIN ET À JAMAIS ». After landing several small roles, Khady started her own production company, Brown Angel Entertainment. This led to her producing her first film, L’INTERPRÈTE, as well as starring in it as the lead. The film was the first Ivorian feature-length film to be shot in English and French. Directed by Olivier Koné, it was a local box-office success, with the film resulting in the largest number of tickets ever sold at the Majestic Abidjan. L’INTERPRÈTE went on to win the Best feature prize at the 2017 FESPACO.
